The final building left on the block at Water and Washington streets in Downtown Pontiac is the Downtowner Motel.

Crews began its demolition this afternoon, by knocking a huge hole through the middle of the structure.  This will be used as a pathway for the large equipment to get to the other side of the building.

The demolition is being done by McCoy Construction company of Pontiac, Illinois.
